Scumble Herbert Terry 1227
This timeless classic is a Herbert Terry and Sons 1227 lamp. This lamp has been electrically restored using a high-quality, 3-core braided fabric cable. Complete with safety bayonet bulb holder and low energy bulb.
This particular lamp is a fine example of the original Herbert Terry Scumble finish and this particular example is one of the best we’ve ever restored!
This lamp comes complete with a low-energy LED bulb, a standard British 3-pin plug, and a an antique-brass switched bulb holder.
Also, this lamp is an early variant of the 1227 model, this can be seen from the roll-lipped shade and the steel linkage strip (that was later substituted for nylon). I cannot express how good of an example this is!
Please study the photos as they form part of the description. There are a few age-related marks that are to be expected with a lamp of its age but you will really struggle to find a better example of the Scumble finish.
